Meet the Owner of IMPACT Rock & Dirt, Jane O’Brien. After working in church ministry for over 18 years, Jane was looking for her next venture. She has a passion for making a difference in the community so when she was presented with an opportunity to create a woman owned business that would have a positive impact on the environment, she welcomed the invitation.
IMPACT Rock & Dirt specializes in the manufacturing of black dirt through a thorough composting process which includes recycled yard waste as well as other products that might have otherwise ended up in a landfill. The black dirt that is produced through this method of composting provides an environmentally friendly product that has a variety of uses.
In developing a business plan Jane knew that not only did she want to make a positive IMPACT on the community through environmentally friendly products, but that she wanted to make a positive IMPACT on charitable causes within the Kansas City Community. IMPACT Rock & Dirt supports local charities in the Kansas City Community with a portion of the revenue that is generated.
